On the previous page you see some examples of ADHD Behaviour Modification and applying the positive traits of ADHD in my life. The aim and goal of this website however goes further. What I want is to help you achieve your goal(s) in life. In addition, to help you find ways and strategies to unfold these goals. More specific: help people with ADD/ADHD to discover that this so called ‘disorder’ is just another set of personality characteristics. And that positive thinking and behaving can set you free of the most of the suffering.
Bottom line
Bottom line is that I compress this in six base statements:1.
You are a human and not an ADD- or ADHD-person.
2.
It is not what you are in life, but the way you live it.
3.
The meaning of the life you live has the meaning you give.
4.
The power you search for is the power you search with.
5.
The clearer it is what you want, the closer it gets.
6.
If you can’t change yourself in a given environment, change the environment.
Fundament
The fundamental base of my way of living is that I do what I want to. I have internalized this strategy in a very early stage of my life. One of the big challenges I experienced was (is) to find out what I want. Then how to implement that. In the 48 years I live now that is a way of trial and error. At this point I have to ask much people for forgiveness. I am not proud on all I did. There is also pain I delivered, especially to my very close and dear beloved ones. On the other hand: there were and are many successes and I share and shared deep happiness. Therefore I am very, very grateful. When I look back I can say that my believe in Life, the goodness of others and myself has brought me where I am today.
ADHD Behaviour Modification: My Way of Breaking Out
And this is where I am:I quitted my (very good) job to make a great travel from the North-East of Europe to the South-East. I grew up and lived in Holland, I write this in Hungary at 1.600 miles further. This travel I made in a gipsy-wagon, pulled by two horses. It lasts seven months. I am sitting in a rented house, with my beloved wife in the room. She works in the same time on another Internet-project.
We just decided to travel further with this equipment, next spring (if we can wait that long). I am a very happy man, convinced of the insight that I can be of great value for other people. Especially other adults with ADD or ADHD.
Update July 2008: we had an accident In Tsjech last May. We were forced to go back to Holland and live in a rented house here now. The determination to travel further is still intact, we build an Internet company to make this possible.
